Motorcycle Intake Plugs

Motorcycle Intake Plugs

thingiverse

These are plugs for the intakes of carburetor type motorcycles or other recreational vehicles, designed to keep foreign objects out of the inlets while the carburetors are removed. They are tapered to help make it a little easier to get in, but are meant to be snug. These will only work for spigot mounted carbs, where a rubber flange is already available. These are designed specifically for Mikuni spigot sizes, but will likely work for other types of similar size such as Dell'Orto, Keihin, AMAL, etc.. Check the chart provided to find the right size for your application, for example: my 87 Yamaha FZR1000 has 37mm carbs, so I need 'SpigotPlug - 43' because the spigot has a diameter of 43mm. There are a few different lengths to some of the sizes, so I included a short and long version of anything with a +5mm difference in case it's needed. I'm including all the files in STP format so feel free to make any changes that you need for your own setups. Feel free to let me know if you need a specific size and don't have the resources to make the changes yourself and I'll add it to them. Print Settings Supports: No Infill: 20-50% Notes: Pretty basic and easy, any resolution 0.3mm or less should be fine, just keep the infill on the higher side if you plan to clamp them into place.
