M20 x 1.5 adapter for mrPens Screw in oil funnel http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:857406 Rather than modify an already great model to fit a friends Bandit 1200 I thought I'd have a go at this adapter. Wasn't too difficult until I tried to maintain breather functionality due to the much smaller size but did succeed in the end. May do other sizes if required just give me thread dia, pitch and a little time :) Added M24 x 1.5 (no bike to test thread on) 14/06/15 Updated M20 version just to give clearer breather way (could clog a little depending on print quality) 13/05/17 Added M18 x 1.5 for a request 02/06/17 Added M27 x 3.0 for a request. 12/06/17 Added M27 x 3.0 Adaptor_EXTENDED 19/08/17 Added M20 x 2.5 Please Note that depth of this thread may weaken part Again I have nothing to test thread on... Instructions The first thread or so of outside thread should break off pretty easily, I put a cut around it to help this. This was intended so that it could be printed a little easier either way up and when finished the inside tube would be raised above the thread. In the top of the adapter is a tube with a chamfer, this is where the funnel will seal against the adapter. I've used PLA as I have very little joy with ABS. I imagine ABS to be better for this but have no Idea how it will affect thread size. After slicing make sure breather channels etc don't break out anywhere they shouldn't and adjust slicer if necessary. Be very careful screwing into bike to avoid cross-threading and only a few threads are needed. The M20 thread is longer than originally planned but the extra length stopped funnel fouling on the Bandits side panel
