This mount is designed specifically for attaching the SN04 sensor to the X-Carriage. By using this mount, you can easily utilize accessories such as the Bullduct fan or E3D v6, which may not provide a built-in mount for the SN04 sensor. The picture illustrates an aluminum X-carriage being used, but the design should also accommodate the stock carriage effectively. If you are working with the standard hotend, it's recommended to use the 2mm shifted version instead.
