Mountain Bike Frame Tool Box

Mountain Bike Frame Tool Box

This is an on bike tool box i created to move my spare inner tube and tools from a seat bag to something that fit on my frame. I drew inspiration from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4290850 but that was bigger than i needed and i didnt have a rivnut to attach to frame. I added a strap mount to the bottom and i use a velcro strap to hold it against the frame. I also use two zip ties that hold it against the water bottle cage. I have ridden it several times and it is very secure. This could technically work on any frame with a water bottle on the downtube. The door hinge is a snipped spoke that fits snuggly in the hinge. I use two plugs to hold the door in place. They hold it very securely and are still easy to remove. I had originally planned on using velcro to secure the door but the mounts made it too bulky. I printed with Inland TPU and it worked out better than i could have imagined. Its super strong, wont crack or break, and the TPU dampens any rattling of whats in box. If you can print in TPU, I recommend it. Like the other boxes, it is also not waterproof. The box holds one TPU tube (RideNow), multitool, CO2 Inflator, small chain breaker, spare link, and a couple of tire boots. *Updated Added new files for box and door that use 4 hinges on the door as opposed to 2. It keeps the door sides more firmly in place when there is a lot in the box. I have also included a CO2 holder that is used in conjunction with the water bottle cage. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6165417
