#THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS# ###Mounting base for SPORTident BSF9 control station - orienteering### This item has been designed as a replacement for the commercially available __Plastic Holder for BSF9 & 8 Station (Standard)__ and has been designed to complement the recently released __SPORTident__ BSF9 control station, although the older __SPORTident__ BSF8 control stations would also fit. A feature of the new __SPORTident__ BSF9 control stations is the inclusion of four 'eyelets' that allow the use of __Gripple__® cables or similar anti-theft devices. Unfortunately, these cannot be used with the existing __Plastic Holder for BSF9 & 8 Station (Standard)__ as this does not include the corresponding holes to allow their use. This new design includes these. With the increase in Urban orienteering, control boxes are more routinely being used in urban areas and need to be fixed to existing street furniture, etc. The current __Plastic Holder for BSF9 & 8 Station (Standard)__ does not lend itself to these new arrangements. This new design incorporates four additional mounting points suitable for M4 screws. Used with suitable spacers and pairs of supports mounted either longitudinally or transversely between adjacent mounting points, space can be left for a tie wrap or other strap to be used to secure the control independent of the __Gripple__® or similar anti-theft system being employed. The design is not immediately ready for printing, as some aspects are still to be confirmed. Please contact me if you would like to print this item.
