Mounting block and milestone on Hornsea Road (A1035), Routh (East Yorkshire, UK). The block was erected by the White-Cross Turnpike Trust in the 18th century. Mounting blocks were a common feature up until the late 18th century, allowing a horse to be mounted more easily. They were often located in main streets and outside public houses. The model was made from 81 photographs.
