Mounting Plate for IEC320 Fused Power Socket with Switch

UPDATE 07/09/2015: I've uploaded version 3a which has a slightly increased cutout size as version 3 required some scrapping of material away to properly fit through. Printed and tested fine. I'm also going to generate a version (essentially the negative of this one) that can be used to cutout the shape from a generic case. Will make that a new thing rather than add to this one. Look out for it soon... +++++++ I bought a power socket from Jaycar (Part Num PP4003) for my hotwire cutter powerbox and got home only to realise I needed some way of mounting it as my plywood case walls are too thick. This plate is a collar that goes over the socket and the socket snaps hold onto a lip inside the collar. The lip has been reinforced to some extent to avoid breaking when you pull the plug out. Time will tell if it works. You then mount the whole thing into the wall cutout of your box or case. Openscad file is provided so you can adjust the outer size of the collar or thickness etc. Tolerance on my printer is a little loose so I did have to scrape out a but of plastic from the inside edges to fit. I did not create mounting holes. These are pretty easy to create while screwdriving or drilling anyway. Instructions Print it out and push it over your socket, till the snaps...well...snap into place.
