Save Money and Make your Own. No you don't have to buy a ligature to replace a cap. This one fits my Rovner style perfectly. It also fits my clarinet with a similar strap and knob lig. I included a blank STL so you can cut your own opening. With very little scaling, this can fit an alto and probably a tenor. Use a stiff material. PLA, Eastman, ABS all can work. The walls are thin so use 100% infill. I tried first with ProFX flexible material, and it was not springy enough to grip. Get really crazy and do them for the winds section of marching band in school colors by pausing and swapping colors.
