Moving Extrudate Cooler (for Prusa i3 with Diamond Hotend)

So here is my first Thing... This moving extrudate cooler is designed in FreeCAD to fit on the X-axis bars of a Prusa i3. The X carriage drags it along the bars, allowing it to move 20mm left and right. This makes that the mouth of the funnel (30mm) is mostly behind the extruder for optimal cooling of the part of your print that was just extruded. And it's mounted on the back, so it never blocks your view. The Fan duct was derived from thehans' design and reworked in FreeCAD, completely parameterised so you can adjust it to your needs. The other files are dimensioned to fit on my Prusa with a Diamond Hotend, but can be easily adjusted to fit almost any printer with a similar X carriage design. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusa i3 Notes: I printed the funnel in PLA a bit colder on 165°, gives me better bridges. You'll need to rotate the base and the funnel before printing, I left them the way they are generated by FreeCAD. The funnel will generate a warning in Repetier Host. Ignore it, Slic3r doesn't have a problem with it, and it prints normally. Post-Printing All mounting holes are made for 3,5 mm regular self-tapping parkerscrews. 8x 12mm to mount the Base over the rods using the top and bottom Axis Supports 6x 20mm to mount the Fansupport on the Base with the spacers in between, and the fan to the Fansupport. Funnel fits on a 5015 fan. How I Designed This FreeCAD and plenty of good coffee.
