Moving Head Light with Servo

This is moving light does move!! It uses some servo motors and some programming in order to make the magic happen but it's so cool to see it go. If you're like me, you won't just want 1. A basic Arduino code is to come but you could go wild with the component and the programming. I did a first version that doesn't have any servo motors. It enabled me to tackle some initial problem. So for those of you who want a more static version of this light;http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:939239 This thing is no more a work in progress. I tried to have a third servo motor inside to be able for some added effect. Everything did fit in theory but assembling it was near impossible. You can now download a small test code made for the Arduino Pro. The program will perform a sweep with all servo motors and vary the PWM of the LED. Enjoy! What is to come: Electric circuit diagram Print Settings Printer Brand: Solidoodle Printer: Workbench Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 5 to 10 % Notes: All part were designed for a specific print orientation. A picture with the prefer print orientation is provided. No support is needed to print any part of this Thing. Ensure your printer axis are perpendicular. Post-Printing Assembly Build of Materials: 2 - Tower Pro SG90 servo-motors (2 minimum) 1 - LED 1 - micro controller (Arduino Pro) 1 - battery or power supply In a nutshell, Pre-fit all printed part to ensure everything fits together Glue/screw all the servo motors, glue all servo horn and LED Run the cable in the arm Assemble the light and screw servo horn to servo motor Program your microcontroller How I Designed This I did the static light (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:939239) with the goal of adding some servo motor in it. Had to scale up things 110% for any servo motor to fit inside. At first, I was trying to keep the servo motor in the arm. But the design was getting big. To keep things down, I then let some part of the servo motor outside of the parts. Finally, I moved the motors in the light itself. It did remove some space for any electronics, but it keeps things small and simple. Big thanks to Eddiie who gave me some excellent feedback and advice. Video
