The Monoprice Select Mini / Maylan M200 - Model Nostalgia! We all like to be reminded of good old times: the favorite childhood cartoon, the first car, ..... the first 3D printer? - of course! This small fine printer must not be forgotten, now it is available as a small version! Why no logo / text? The original letters have a width of 1mm, scaled to the model are the 0,2mm (too small) ...AND i don't want any copyright issues :) UPDATE 11/28/2016 (see last two photos) I have use a twine to simulate the filament (role to extruder) and a piece of black filament (with white color) between extruder and hotend (used glue). German / Deutsch Nostalgie! - Man erinnert sich gerne an früher: den Lieblings-Zeichentrick in der Kindheit, das erste Auto, ..... den ersten 3D-Drucker? - selbstverständlich! Dieser kleine, feine Drucker darf nicht vergessen werden, jetzt gibt es ihn als kleines Modell! Warum kein Logo / Text? Der Schriftzug hat eine Buchstabenbreite von 1mm, auf das Modell skaliert sind das 0,2mm (zu klein) ...UND ich habe keinen bock auf eine Copyright-Klage ;) UPDATE 28.11.2016 (siehe letzten zwei Fotos) Habe einen Zwirn zwischen Rolle und Extruder gespannt um das Filament zu simulieren. Außerdem habe ich ein Stück schwarzes Filament verwendet (Enden weiß angemalt) um das Kabelrohr vom Extruder zum Hotend nachzuahmen. (Kleber verwendet) Print Settings Printer: MP Select Mini - what else? ;) Rafts: Yes Supports: No Resolution: 0,2mm Infill: 12% Notes: use the "MP_SelectMini-_printable_version.stl" - file and no supports needed Post-Printing use brim, 5 lines (MP_Select_Mini_-_printable_version.stl) - or raft what you need.... and some paint brushes use a toothpick for the lettering glue the parts together go sure to have a right angle (at all parts) How I Designed This designed in SketchUp Make 2016
