Work in Progress should use only parts that come with the printer and hotend. uses the heatsink fan shroud that comes with the hotend to side mount the heatsink fan without blocking airflow over the heatsink. The locking tabs are too small to actually to hold the fan mount and bottom part together, on mine i ended up welding the parts together with a low temp soldering iron and some filament scraps, as well as making some small modifications that I'll include in the next revision, mainly improving the belt tensioning and adding some ziptie loops for wiring. Recommend printing in higher temp materials, mine was in PLA since thats all I have at the moment, so I used some foil duct tape to insulate the parts close to the hotend, and it works fine for now. UPDATE: PLA filament works fine, I've been using it for a while with zero issues. I used a broken usb cable to extend the wires from the hotend fan directly to the 12v input on the board, so the hotend fan runs continuously as long as the power is turned on. The part fan was simply screwed onto the fan mount without modification. Already a massive improvement over the stock hotend, still got some more work to do, but the current mount works as is if you dont mind doing some finishing work. Absolutely zero offset from the original mount, and since i used the original heater cartridge and thermistor, it works without any additional modification. The nozzle does sit a about 3-5mm higher than the original, but easily within the range of the bed springs.
