I made some changes to dw660 burly mounts. I trimmed the struts off the lower mount because they would collide with my dust boot and ir collet nut rotation speed detector. I trimmed lateral aspects of lower mount so the screwdriver can reach screws easier. I put a piece of mirror glass on the center of my table and used a dial indicator installed on z axis, I shimmed the glass with slips of paper to be level within 5 thousands of an inch across the surface.I installed dw660 on the mpcnc, and I used a piece of coat hanger wire in the collet (with a bit of aluminum duct tape to make it thicker) which I rotate about the axis to check the Z axis alignment. It was level front to back but side to side was off. I tried various solutions but ultimately this variation of the tool mount worked for me, basically it has elliptically extended mounting screw holes that allow for lateral rotation. I was able to tram the z axis with this variation of the original. I use allted's original lower and upper locking pieces with these.
