(NOT compatible with 525 version) M8 to 5mm and 5/16" to 5mm Rigid Coupler for the Mostly Printed CNC / MultiTool by Allted:http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:724999   I tried to make it as thick as possible, to minimize breaking it while tightening the rod. It should work for both M8 and 5/16" threaded rods. The part where the rod fits has 7.6mm outer diameter. IT NEEDS to be threaded. I used a short screw to make the threads. IT'S NOT SYMMETRICAL. The marks within the model indicates the screw position. If you don't place them like this, they will touch the Z Motor Mount.     The one that uses 2 screws is dimensionally similar to the stock version. I made the other one because I had room for a longer coupler, making it a bit more stiffer. Both of them work great. .STP files uploaded =) Enjoy!     More mods:http://www.thingiverse.com/Tincho85/collections/mpcnc-mods Bill of Materials Short Coupler (x2) M4x16 Socket Head Cap Screws (x2) M4 Nylon-Insert Locknuts Long Coupler (x3) M4x16 Socket Head Cap Screws (x3) M4 Nylon-Insert Locknuts Custom Section Before trying to insert the threaded rod, it's recommended to thread the coupler. You can use tap and die tools or manually do it with a screw like I did. Updates Added two more versions with less overhangs. STP files included. They should be easier to print.
