MPCNC Lowrider 2 Junk Bumper

<p>Description:</p> <p>This is a dust "bumper" for the MPCNC Lowrider 2 by V1 Engineering. I designed it to keep most of the low-flying chips and dust from ending up in my Z axis lead screw and bearings. It will also plow dust and chips away from the movement of the wheels.</p> <p>Printed Parts:</p> <p>You will need 2 sets of each printable part per side. PLA or PETG would work. A high infill and/or wall count would be preferable for the washer and bushing.</p> <p>Panel:</p> <p>The panel floats on the bushing so that it can move freely and will not jam or obstruct any movement on the Y axis while staying flat on the table. I used 1/2" PVC and made 1/4" pockets for the bushings. Any material will do as long as the pockets leave 1/4" remaining material thickness or less. Drill holes for the screws using the corner brackets as guides.</p> <p>Assembly:</p> <p>The wheel washer is installed with the ridge facing towards the wheel to make contact with the bearing. The panel goes on next followed by the bushing and nut. The bolt should be long enough. If the wheel does not rotate after installation the nut is too tight. Back it off until the wheel move freely.</p> <p>M4 screws and nuts are used to hold the corners on.
