mpCNC upgraded tool mount for dremel
thingiverse
Not much to report... A quick fix to attach the designed Dremel mount to the MPCNC toolplate. Not printed yet, actually printing it now so I haven't tested it yet! UPDATE! It turned out perfect for my needs at least. The holes on the upper front piece needed a better angle calibration to ease screwing in the upper back piece but putting it on the new toolmount of MPCNC was a breeze. As I followed the prototype's diameter, I added a piece of anti-slip material (photos 6 and 7) like those used under chair legs. This is similar to what I did with my previous version for the Digital400 Dremel but it fits tighter now. I also applied an amazing dust shoe that's easy to remove at any time and focuses well on the cutting point. I haven't used it yet, but I'm confident it'll be perfect! Underneath, I glued a plastic coffee cup with ripped edges to prevent dust from spreading. More updates for my MPCNC upgrades will come in this or another post... until then, happy cutting and carving!
