# What's this? This is a new extruder top for the Monoprice Mini Delta (MPMD), which is aimed at printing flexible filaments. # does it work? I've been successfully printing TPU with shore-hardness of 55D, at a speed of 20mm/s (mk1) - 30mm/s (mk2), with Flow set to 110% and temperature at 225C, 48C on the heatbed. I've also turned retraction off. The TPU sticks like crazy, so I'm using Magigoo as a separator, it still is hard to get off. # CHANGELOG * **mk4**: this is mostly an improvement to keep the plate compatible with the reversed extruder fix, which has gotten a stability improvement * **mk3**: while mk2 worked great with flex filament, I had the PTFE tube jump out several times when printing PLA. looking at the original of Spconnol's extruder fix, I realized that the design he remixed was originally meant for an incoming PTFE tube, and that there is some inherent advantage in having the screw holding the tube going in the opposite direction, hence I adjusted design. I ended up splitting the top plate and the holder into two pieces, I originally intended to keep them together, but printing the plate flat, while having the mount stand up is vital for the printed pieces integrity, otherwise, the screw will destroy the mounts tube. **During assembly** make sure the PTFE tube goes through all the way into the pit for it in the top plate, then make sure the screw is tight. **Mk3 comes with all parts required in one stl!** I'll also publish the reversed extruder fix separately (link will be inserted here), as it is compatible with the original top plate, and might be helpful to people who just broke their original bowden mount clip. * **mk2**: the previous version had a gap on the inside that was part of the original extruder top, where it holds the PTFE tube. In cdlords plate this still existed, even though at least for me, it wasn't possible to push the PTFE tube that far in. This gap was closed by filling it with some printed tube. mk2 also has a slightly tighter inner tube in general (2mm), which makes it a bit harder to get the filament in (and you should be carefull when puling it out),, which hopefully prevents it from jamming at slightly higher printing speeds (haven't done enough tests to say for certain). **edit**: i've been consistently running it at 25mm/s, without any issues, thus I've removed the work in progress status. However this might differ with other filaments. I'd appreciate comments with your experiences. **edit:** I've now printed 2 larger pieces at 30mm/s without any issues. * **mk1**: first release
