Mr J Pond: Froggy on a Lilypad

Mr J Pond: Froggy on a Lilypad

myminifactory

A long time ago, I decided to sculpt a frog relaxing on a lilypad to thank Michael Hackney (https://www.sublimelayers.com/) for a very nice book on Patinas that he bought for me but I kept forgeting about it During that time, a number of MMU systems became available  so I developed a version that can use multiple materials.  I completed the model and then promptly forgot about it until I was cleaning up my studio during the COVID-19 stay-at-home ruling and found the two colour version. I always like to have my work tested and critued by others before releasing and Chris Russel (http://practical-printing.com/) and Tom Jackson (http://filamentfrenzy2.wixsite.com/filamentfrenzy)kindly offered to help me out.  Chris printed the 4 colour froggy and Tom provided the printing profile Here is Froggy (who after much discussion with my testers became a secret agent frog and is now called James Pond - I need to do a version with a Walther PPK by his side. And maybe a vodka martini). He works best with 4+ colours and is divided up so each piece can be assigned as you wish) but also works with just 2 colours and I have included a version for single material machines too.Printed by Chris Russell on the Prusa Mk3S w/MMU. Photographs taken By Chris Russell The greens are @FilamentOne GLINT, the whites are F1 PLA and HTPLA+. The black is @Prusament Galaxy Black.
