We've got Movie Sign! I've wanted to make a Movie Sign prop from Mystery Science Theater 3000 for some time. Instead of doing it full scale, I thought it would be easier to 3D print a smaller version. The base prop is separate from the light caps so that you can print the light caps in different color plastics to match the real prop. I used red, purple, and yellow (the color of the MST3K bots), but green was also used for the center color in early episodes. Also, the base is white in early episodes, but I like the black version. To make a functional prop, I printed the model at 1.5 scale so I could fit a 9V battery inside. I drilled a hole for a switch, connected the battery to the switch, and then to 3 blinking LEDs: red, yellow, and blue (because I couldn't find a blinking purple LED). The blinking red LEDs I used: http://www.ebay.com/itm/10-x-LED-5mm-PRE-WIRED-9-VOLT-RED-FLASHING-9V-BLINK-PREWIRED/391288830226 I printed it with a raft because the underside is hollow. I also used exterior supports because the prop is hollow. Feel free to use this model however you see fit, but give credit where due.
