To improve my RepRap Prusa Mendel's performance, I decided to implement u-design's "Automatic belt tensioner for RepRap Prusa Mendel." However, during assembly, I realized I was missing mudguard washers. These washers prevent binding of 608 bearings by featuring a small step close to the inside hole. Initially, my prints were not even due to constant slipping caused by a loose y-axis belt. After installing the tensioner and washers, I also reduced the voltage supplied to the Y-axis stepper, leading to cooler operation. I am grateful for u-design's excellent work in providing such helpful solutions. Now, I can enjoy printing various components, trinkets, and toys with greater accuracy.
