Multi-colour/Multi-material Companion Cube for MMU
thingiverse
I set out to test my new Prusa MMU with a full-color version of a model I frequently print as a test. The result was not trivial - it took some effort to recolor the existing model, so I simply remodeled this one instead. To ensure accuracy, I referenced other Companion Cube models and pictures from the game, but I cannot guarantee absolute precision (so far, no flaws have been found). I sometimes struggle with determining the correct orientation of the hearts. The model comes in three versions: one for each shade of gray and a separate version for the pink in the hearts and slots on the faces. I've printed only half-scale versions, which turned out great once I successfully calibrated my MMU. However, the pink slots are somewhat small to see at this scale, so I'll update this post with full-scale results as soon as I have sufficient pink material. Standard settings for PLA worked well in this case, and I used soluble support interface to handle the fact that the model's base is not flat. The front face also turned out well. P.S. I noticed I had exported this model from Onshape incorrectly twice, so I've included a link to the correct export: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/f413fe3c3ae585e4f4ccf383/w/2814a2d926d00c82ac65d773/e/4fd3b9cdf7515f4fd0490f98
