# Description These parts are used to make Wanhao / Monoprice / Balco i3 plus 3D printers compatible with dual extrusion. The main purpose of the Silence3D board is to make your printer quiet. When Silence3D board is used, you have two steppers motor drivers unused. So in total, you can use 3 extruders. For now, I made a system with only 2 extruders. Then you need to upload firmware for two-color printer https://silence3d.com/downloads/ . If you use Simplify3D you can import my .fff profile. If you use any other slicer you need to set tool change retraction distance at 30 mm and tool change retraction speed at 25 mm/s.
