This is my first project entry to a Grabcad Challenge. Hope it meets the horizons of the challenge. :) https://grabcad.com/challenges/the-multi-function-reader-design-challenge This can be used as both wall mount and counter top device. The touchscreen can be rotated according to the usage. The range of rotary motion is 90deg. The device can be easily handled. Designed with aesthetically sleek curves. The configuration of the device is as follows. Configuration: -7 inch(diagonal) touchscreen. -Contact-less credential reader. -Magnetic stripe card reader. -2 Speakers. -Receipt printer. -Number keypad with braille keys. -2 USB ports. -1 RJ45 Network Jack. -1 Micro SD slot -Power On/Off button. -Volume control Buttons. -Motion sensor. -External Power Supply slot. Features: Touchscreen display has two cameras, front cam and rear cam. The core unit has two speakers each on either edge. The motion sensor is placed in such a position that it can be used in both positions. The magnetic stripe card reader is movable. It can be slid into the core unit when not necessary. The receipt printer and contact-less card reader are designed such that they are symmetric about the center line. This doesn't give disturbing look when printer is not used in any case. There are two LEDs for both the printer and the contact-less card reader. The green and red LEDs for contact-less card reader shows the acceptance of the card when used. For the printer these LEDs show the working status of it. The main concentration is given on designing this product to use it as both wall mounted and desktop device. Each and every part in the device can be used with equal ease in both positions. P.S. This project helped me in learning a lot of things, introduced me to some new softwares and new levels of designing. Thank you all.
