A simple tool to mark firewood before cutting for beginners or people who are not good with cutting a consistent length. Uses an upside down (surveyor style) spray paint can. Requires: 8x M4*20 cap screws 1x M4*25 cap screw 1x M4*50 11x M4 nuts 1x M6*35 1xM6x50 2xM6 Nyloc nuts 4x 10*15*4 bearings Print one of each part, except for the measuring wheels. Print the size you require. If you require a length not included please let me know and ill add it to the collection. Build Instructions. After printing/post processing, insert M6 Nyloc nuts in their recesses on the Center Plate. Attach Paint Can Holder to Center Plate with 4x M4x15 and 4x M4 nuts. Attach Handle to Center Plate with 4x M4x15 and 4x M4 nuts. Insert M4x25 and a M4 nut into wheel trigger pin and 2 bearings either side in the center. Locate wheel on axle closest to the handle and use the M6x35 and Center Hub Retainer to hold the wheel on. Insert the remaining 2 bearings into Trigger with Stopper. Locate on remaining axle and retain with m6x50 and Trigger Hub Retainer. Inset M4x50 and a M4 Nut into the Knob. Before tightening and trapping the nut, apply some threadlocker to the hidden part of the thread and tighten as tight as possible. Insert remaining M4 nut into the recess on the Paint Can Holder and attach the knob. Shake paint can, inset into Paint Can Holder with the trigger on the can lined up with the measuring trigger. Tighten Knob and your ready to go. Please note. You may need to adjust the position of the paint can for best results. Some brands require less pressure on the trigger than others to get the ideal marking size. Currently working on a few improvements to improve accuracy, files will be updated here as they are tested and confirmed working.
