Multi Filament Spool Holder for 3D Printing. This holder can securely hold one or more spools, and I've personally tested it with four spools without any issues. The key to successful usage is ensuring adequate space between the spools to minimize friction and prevent jamming. When installing the spools, be mindful of the internal diameter of the pipe, particularly where it will interact with the locking mechanism. A 5mm clearance on each side is crucial for smooth operation. To create this holder, you can utilize any type of pipe, provided you measure its outer and inner diameters accurately. This information will enable you to customize the locking part to fit your specific needs. In my case, I worked with a pipe that had an outer diameter of 25mm and an inner diameter of 16mm. When integrating the pipe into the holder, leave a small gap, approximately 0.1-0.3mm, between the two parts. This subtle clearance is essential to prevent the pipe from slipping during the locking process. If you're concerned about the pipe shifting, consider using a suitable adhesive that's compatible with your filament material. By following these guidelines, you'll be able to create a reliable and efficient multi-filament spool holder for your 3D printing needs.
