I designed this 5 link front suspension knuckle to suit the Mini R81 wheel, et50 15x5,5 incs, with 195/50 R15 tires. There is zero scrub radius for minimal torque steer under braking. The trail is 30 mm for. The steering axis is tilted by 4,93 degree inward and 5,92 degree rearward, allowing a nice camber gain curve for steering. (If the the static camber is set to -1,5 degrees, than at maximum steering angle the outer wheel has -1,8 degrees camber angle and the inner wheel has +1,8 degree camber angle. :) ) The steering axis runs trough the outer joint of the drive shaft eliminating torque steer under accelerating. I have used F1 carbon ceramic brake discs, modeled after used real F1 brakes. The wheel hub is not functional but it is an Opel Astra G front wheel hub. The brake caliper and pads are also fictional. The rod ends are modeled after the IKO LHSA series. The outer dimensions of the damper are modeled after the Doetsch monotube dampers. The knuckle is my design. The camber can and the vertical angle of the steering axis can be adjusted independently. I have also tested the knuckle for load of 12 kN in all 3 direction, and it had ample safety reserve.
