Multiple Filament Management for Da Vinci Printers

This is for Da Vinci printer owners who have obtained a chip resetter, are using external filament spools, and are tired of having to fish a new filament through the printer's cover slot, and then feed it manually through the guide and into the extruder at each filament change.. This Thing includes a feed-thru guide that will fit the extra hole in Da Vinci single-extruder printers, and three additional "manifolds" that snap into the rectangular opening just below the factory-installed guide(s) inside the rear of the printer. Use the one best suited to your needs: 6, 8, or 15 openings. To keep track of several different filaments that are pre-loaded, there are also three different retainers, with 6, 8, and 13 slots to receive and retain filament ends inside the printer, ready for quick filament changes. I began with the six spool arrangement shown in the photos, but my installation has evolved into one using the 15-hole guide and two of the 8-slot retainers, one mounted on each side of the printer's interior. Print Settings Printer: XYZ Da Vinci AiO 1.0 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: Good Infill: Default Post-Printing These are all simple parts, suitable for use immediately after printing. The filament guides simply press and snap into place, and I used 3M double-stick foam tape to fasten the retainers to the surfaces indicated in the photos. I usually trim the filament ends immediately after unloading; this makes it easier to insert them into the retainer, and makes them ready for their next use. My filament spools reside on shelves behind the printer, but any arrangement that allows the various filaments to be fed in through the slot below the rear of the top cover should work fine. How I Designed This 123D Design software. Nothing too difficult here.
