Multipurpose Front Cover for Wanhao Di3 v1 (Tiltable)
thingiverse
This is a front plate design for the Wanhao Duplicator i3 v1 printer with several features that make it stand out: The original v1 front plate is reused, providing a perfect finish! Two "action camera"-style mounts are included, allowing you to tilt the original front plate and LCD. Accommodating a Raspberry-Pi (Model B+) is also possible by incorporating a RPI case bottom part into the front plate. Additionally, a servo (sg90) can be mounted to command the two servos, which I use in conjunction with octoprint / octopi and PiBits / ServoBlaster. Print Settings: Printer: Wanhao Duplicator i3 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 2 Infill: 100 Notes: A 100% infill was used due to the "action camera"-style mounts, making supports unnecessary. Post-Printing: After printing, screw the Raspberry Pi to the plate. Although I didn't include holes for this, it's not a difficult task. Printing a suitable top case for the Raspberry Pi can also be done, but since the LCD covers it, I thought that was enough. However, I did modify the Raspberry bottom case to accommodate a top RPI case I had on hand. Ultimately, I decided not to use it. To prepare your printer, you may need to cut some plastic around your USB cable connector (I had to do this). You will also require 12 additional bolts with the same diameter as the original ones (I believe they were M3). Simply screw a RPI camera case onto the top servo mount.
