This side-by-side comparison highlights three scans of the same object. The left scan is taken with an Artec Spider, while the middle one utilizes X-ray data and the right employs photogrammetry using a Sony A6000 camera. Note that the mask is highly reflective and extremely delicate. At first glance, it's clear to see the differences in mesh structure that have been created. The Artec scan has pulled out more detail and produced a significantly smoother finish, but struggled with capturing the underside of the object. In contrast, the right model only worked with photomasking and medium settings on Photoscan Pro. Unfortunately, higher settings failed to produce a usable model. The X-ray tube parameters for this experiment are as follows: 150kV, 2.5mA, 0.4mm focal spot, and 0.3mm brass filtration. Meanwhile, the CT scan parameters are: 360 projections, each taking 7.5 seconds to capture (integration over 15 frames, with 0.5 seconds per frame).
