Are you a Prusa i3 MK2/3/S/S+ 3D Printer user who constantly misplaces your spare SD cards? If so, this simple print may save your day!

The idea of this design is based on cutting a slot in the printer foot to make it a half SD card holder. Except why cut when you can print? Also, the stem was rounded for easy printing and fitting with hard plastic such as PLA, PETG or ASA.

With a minimalist and modular design, this MVP (Minimum Viable Print) Half SD Card Holder allows you to print as many pieces as you need. For instance, up to 6 SD cards can be stored on just one side of your Prusa printer (you will need to print 12 halves). You can even make them in pairs of different colours for easy identification. Once a card is inserted, the slot expands and the card holder is magically held in place!

This model was designed using Fusion 360. Estimated print time for each pair (holding 1 SD card) is about 30 min, using less than 5 g or 1.5 m of filament. We recommend 0.2 mm layers and 15% infill. Support is optional for better appearance but not necessary for function.

Happy printing with those Last Metres for organizing!
