MX Ergo Ball Remover

I ended up buying a Logitech MX Ergo a few months ago. While it's been a pretty great trackball, it has one notable flaw: it's impossible to get the ball out without a tool since the hole on the bottom is only 8mm wide—too small for many of the pens on my desk, let alone my finger—and Logitech opted not to include a removal tool in the box. Oh dear.

This simple, super cheap part should fix that.

Print instructions

Print with either 100% infill or a healthy number of perimeter walls (I went with 100% infill) to keep it from snapping. Even with those settings it shouldn't take too long to print—30-45 minutes on a MK3, tops.

I used 100% infill, the concentric fill pattern, and used Colorfabb NGEN for the part in the photos.
