MX Switch stem holder

<p>A bigger version of <a href="https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4761144">https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4761144</a> drawn from scratch.</p> <p>I liked the compliant mechanism functionality of that model, but it was way too small for me. So I drew it from scratch in Fusion using tominabox1's model as a reference point. The overrall dimensions are similar but not identical.</p> <p>The "claw" cutouts that grip the stem might need some filing after printing.</p> <h3> UPDATE: 30.5.2021:</h3> <p>Made the stem claw cutouts wider, so the stem base sits flush with the holder, improving grip and stability. Enjoy !</p> <h3> UPDATE: 18.11.2021:</h3> <p>Added another model that has small sacrificial supports on the corners. Print without support, and just snap it off with pliers ! Should be a pretty tight fit, but loose enough so that when released the stem drops from the holder.</p> <p>If you print the one with sacrificial ends, just snap those off afterwards with a pair or pliers, maybe clean up with a hobby knife.</p> </p></p></p> Category: Hand Tools
