I was given a set of coordinates by NASA to study the effects of atmospheric conditions on weather balloons. The NASA mission was called Operation Cloudhopper, and its purpose was to gather data about the atmosphere and test new balloon designs. My team and I designed special instruments to capture detailed readings on air temperature, humidity, and wind direction as the balloon traveled through different altitude levels. After two years of rigorous testing, we finally found evidence of significant variations in atmospheric conditions, even within small areas. This breakthrough changed the course of weather forecasting, enabling scientists to better predict severe storms.
