This fits the rear shaft of a DC motor with motion actuator. The shaft is tapped to 8-32 and I tap this part the same, threading them together with a socket head cap screw. The IR bracket was modified to mount on its edge against the motor using epoxy or double-sided tape. Extra material was left over for sanding to get a perfect fit. IR Bracket 5mmB.stl is designed for 5mm LEDs and should not need any sanding to fit. A customized version of http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1679204 was created.
