Here's how you make one using your preferred materials: Cut out a piece of cardstock. Fold it in half lengthwise to create a spine. Unfold and mark a series of lines along the fold with a ruler or straightedge, spacing them about an inch apart. Draw parallel lines perpendicular to these marks. Using scissors or a craft knife, carefully cut along these lines. The cut ends will have a tendency to curl up so it is recommended to clip the folded part before opening out the paper, thereby eliminating this problem entirely. Cut off the bottom of the resulting fold and tape in place. Cut along one edge with scissors to make an easy fold back of each layer at right angles. Using glue or double-sided adhesive stick on some tape as you go to maintain a stable shape while handling. Repeat this procedure multiple times until you achieve the desired height for your box. Use scissors or other cutting tool as necessary to clean up any loose fibers after folding. You may also like: Customizable Magazine Stand and Magazine Holders Design By: Toshimi Kaida
