My First Fidget Toy

My First Fidget Toy

Hey everyone! I'm fairly new to 3D printing (just purchased a Mini+ in April) and I love fidget toys. I decided to learn how to design my own fidget toys and this is my first attempt using Shapr3D. While this model doesn't really do anything, it's fun to play with and may inspire others designs that require a telescoping type of motion.

When I started designing fidget toys, I had a few goals in mind:

The model has to print in place.

The model has to move in a unique way.

The model has to print in approximately 3 hours or less.

Looking to improve my skills using my design software (Shapr3D)

Most importantly, the model has to be fun to play with. It's a fidget toy!

The file prints in place with no issues. The print in the photos was printed using Prusament's legendary orange PETG at 0.15 mm (Quality) setting on a Prusa Mini+.

Once printed, you can use the hex nut at the top to break the three pieces apart. Turn counterclockwise to get the centre piece out. Turn clockwise to get the middle piece out. After you separate the pieces, just move the pieces in and out until they move smoothly.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions for a practical use or further improvements. My goal is to have fun!!
