I just designed this part that climbs up the printer at the end of the print job, as an experiment to design and develop more dynamic prints. Have any printer climber ideas? See what you can do with this idea! More detailed instructions and explanations here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_NhnYf9Viiw&feature=youtu.be or here: https://printeraction.wordpress.com/2015/03/04/printerference/ Instructions NOTE: Orient the part as shown in the MakerBot Desktop image, print horizontally. First place this spring: http://www.mcmaster.com/#9654k127/=w5xkt0 or something similar to it into the print as it is printing the spring pillars. Once the main segment of the print is done, remove the front hook piece and back latch piece from the plate, and slide the latch into the groove on the bottom of the hook piece. Let the rest pan out and watch your print pull itself off the plate! More detailed instructions in the video or here: https://printeraction.wordpress.com/2015/03/04/printerference/
