My first (replicable and working) 3DPrinter project
thingiverse
I developed a project called Moa, inspired by the extinct bird. I also explored a smaller version, Kiwi, although two existing 3D printers share these names. After six months of work, my results didn't meet my expectations, making it not suitable for public publication. I'm sharing these images because some of my ideas could be useful for others' projects. Mainly, I struggled with Z wobble and excessive aluminum elasticity. My objectives were as follows: - Original name (Moa is already taken) ...Miss - Independent & unlimited axis dimensions ...Achieved - Single support for the Z-axis...............................Miss - Only using aluminum tubes .....................................Achieved - Lightweight moving parts in X & Y axes...........Achieved - Affordable ...................................................Achieved - Minimum parts..................................................Miss
