My Spinner Collection

thingiverse

This is a collection of all the spinners I've designed over the past 18 months. Before they became incredibly popular last summer, I was selling them and thus not giving away the design files. Now that they're everywhere, I figure I might as well give away my designs. Some of them are fairly standard, while others are a bit more innovative. The majority of these spinners use single bearings, which don't spin for as long but have significantly less rotational mass making them safer for kids. You can print them with PLA, but I highly recommend using PETG, especially for models with thin-walled features. A 20-30% infill works well. They're all designed to work with the standard 608z skate bearing. You may need to adjust the horizontal expansion to get a press-fit. Alternatively, if the bearing is loose, you can use a small amount of super glue to secure it firmly in place. I've included a few variations of the bearing caps just in case you need them. They're meant to be pressed into the bearing hub but don't push them in too far or they may rub against the outside of the bearing and create resistance; there's a raised surface designed to prevent this, but I've found that it can deform when pressing in and create additional friction. Finally, consider this a work-in-progress. I may add more files or remove some of these designs as needed.
