The Unimat 3 is a popular miniature lathe that has a rather anaemic motor and a sewing machine style belt system that is prone to slippage and breakage. A popular replacement for the original motor is the MY6812 scooter motor, available in both 12 and 24v versions. This is a simple mounting system for the MY6812 which can then be connected to the headstock shaft via a timing belt. I printed the clamp and bracket in PETG for strength.
