Every school year, Chemistry classes at Coppell High School partake in a “Mystery Box” activity which demonstrates the structure of an atom by simulating the Rutherford gold foil experiment. This activity involves rolling a marble under a masonite whiteboard in order to identify the shape of a solid block under the board. This an oval block for this activity.
