I had some issues with the fitting on the original model, so I took the hinges and ear pieces from Occhiali Style 1. The original would print just fine, but the hinge on the frame portion broke almost every time I attempted to assemble. To try to fix this, I printed with 3 shells rather than the default 2 and down-scaled the height of the earpieces, but still ended up breaking the hinges during assembly. How I Designed This Imported STL files into 3ds Max and recreated the hinge from the Occhiali model. Did some deleting and target welding on the original Mystery Science Theater frames. Used the "union" boolean operation a few times to combine the new hinges and the old frames. STL check probably would have done the job, but I was in a hurry and didn't want to manually clean up so I used netfabb for my final export.https://modelrepair.azurewebsites.net/
