This is a set of 3 chromosomes that can be printed to model meiosis. I set it up so that I could print each haploid set in one color for Maternal chromosomes, then again in another color to represent paternal chromosomes. There are dove-tailed notches that allow students to show crossing over during prophase I. Lesson Plan and Activity Mitosis/Meiosis Modeling Students model the phases of meiosis and demonstrate reduction division, crossing over, synapsis, disjunction, haploid/diploid.
