This wheel quartering jig allows you to properly align the wheels on a steam locomotive in N scale or a HOn30 gauge utilizing an N scale chassis. Quartering places the left and right wheels 90 degrees out from each other. Each axle linked by connecting rods on the sides of the locomotive must be synced to each other for proper, smooth operation. This jig makes this task easy yet precise using the crosshair sights on each side. These sights are a press fit into the base, but a little plastic cement is recommended to prevent them from jarring loose over time with frequent handling.
