This is an N-Scale model (shell) of a General Electric EP-5 locomotive, designed and built for the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad. These were electric locomotives known as "jets" for the very loud cooling fans. This shell is designed to fit on the chassis of a Lifelike E6 or E7, it will not fit on the E8 chassis. You will need to purchase detail parts such as horns, pantographs, and couplers. Awesome triangle library was provided by Tim Koopmanhttps://github.com/tkoopman/Delta-Diamond/blob/master/OpenSCAD/Triangles.scad Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator 2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: High Infill: 25% Post-Printing Sanding! You will get to give your hobby knife and sanding skills a serious work out! You will also need some filler (I use automotive spot putty) to fill in the ridges on the curved hood, it is too thin to sand enough to get it smooth with out some filler. A piece of 1.75mm filament will fit up though the bottom of the noses to hold body mounted couplers similar to the Athearn MCH5012.
