Naef Building Block
thingiverse
Kurt Naef's Building Blocks (1955), an essential element of his Basel-based company's educational philosophy, were among his first designs for children. The blocks encourage creativity by stacking and nesting to form structures like bridges and towers, suitable for ages 3 and above. If you don't have a 3D printer, consider ordering them from Shapeways ($103.27) or purchase a set of 16 in wood from the MOMA Store for $160. These blocks were designed using Tinkercad and can be printed in various colors and sizes; the original size is 2" blocks, but you could adjust the scale as desired. Happy building!
