No idea if this will work. And maybe it's getting a little silly! But why not! *** April 1 2021 *** Added a tall electronics cover with taller standoffs for the FC. I was getting core temp errors and I think it's because there's no space under the FC *** March 19 2021 *** Flew it outdoors but my vtx kept going in and out, need to figure that out. Had the naked gopro on it and it was recording but I had to keep landing to check my flight time and voltage so not 1 continuous recording. Flew until I felt a little sag, there was 20% left in the batteries and flight time was just over 10 minutes. So 9 minutes is definitely a possibility. I didn't just hover either, did figure 8s and a few throttle pumps. I also noticed motors getting warm using the PIDs DaveC posted but those are for the non-carbon frame. Since this is a little stiffer I set max D's to about half and it seems to have fixed that issue. *** March 17 2021 *** If FLIES! So far only hovered about 1 minute but I need to tune it. It flies pretty well - in fact I don't need a throttle curve on this one. I THINK my props are 2345 or 2530 or something. I got them so long ago I can't remember what they are. emax 1106 7500kv. *** Moved the bottom FC tray to the top. Made a 2s series 18650 tray for the bottom. Added slots for carbon spars. carbon spars: 1x3mm 115mm 60mm (x2) 24mm inserted with CA. It's quite a bit stiffer. I added a version of this for 1s as well because I notice some shaking when flying. In my other remix. It's better than ordering an entire carbon frame I think and I have carbon spars laying around from plane builds. Total weight of plastic and carbon is 27g. No hardware. m2x10 will self tap or m2x11/12 to use an m2 nut. You can rotate the battery tray to put more weight forward or aft if you want to carry a naked gopro, move it aft. I would connect the battery to the FC with something like a bt2. Easier to assemble and work on. I have 12a AIO FC's and some 1106 motors to try out. We'll see.
