Naoshima Cloud Pavilion

Naoshima Cloud Pavilion is a bike shed designed by SANAA for the island of Naoshima in Japan. I believe that the building is an important milestone for SANAA where they have always been obsessed by Spherical forms but never got the opportunity to construct a structure using the soft space material. Designs were tested for Installation in Sharjah and Noble Center, but both didn’t make it into the architecture realization. The model was made using grasshopper, where permutations of the same could be made depending on the positions of a populated 3d were made.
