Napier's Bones is a manually-operated calculating device created by John Napier (1550-1617). Using the multiplication tables embedded in the "bones", multiplication and divisions can be reduced to a series of simple additions and subtractions. My words cannot do justice to this great little tool so I will let Wikipedia explain it for you, see examples on how to use :http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Napier%27s_bones#Example_1 Currently printing, more print photo's to follow.http://www.gyrobot.co.ukhttp://www.facebook.com/gyrobotuk Instructions Print the bones either way up. I prefere to print the bones upside down so as my smooth glass bed defines the numbers nicely. You could pause and swap filament colour part way through the print too for contrasting the digits. For calculations that use the same number bone more than once you will need another bone, therefore it is best to print a few duplicates of each.
