Narrow Gauge Pickle Wagon

A freelance railway wagon for 32mm narrow gauge - a cross between an early US railroad pickle car and a narrow gauge skip wagon. Totally unrealistic, but rather fun. NOTE: This model is designed to use the Hudson Rugga axle boxes and 16mm disk wheels available from Binnie Engineering (https://peterbinnie.com). Disclaimer - I have no connection with this supplier other than as a satisfied customer. The pickle wagon chassis is designed to be visually compatible with the Binnie Engineering Hudson Tipper wagons. Parts required: Wheels, axleboxes and 3mm axles from Binnie Engineering 1 x Chassis.stl 1 x Floor.stl 1 each of Tank1.stl and Tank2.stl (the bands are slightly randomised and different on the two tanks) 2 x Clamp.stl 2 x Valve.stl 2 x ValveWheel.stl 6 x Bracket.stl 2 x Sign.stl 2 x CouplingPin.stl 1mm/20swg/18awg piano wire for clamp supports. I recommend printing the floor with your slicing software set to have a fairly coarse top layer with the strands running lengthwise along the 'planks' - this gives quite a convincing timber effect, especially if only one perimeter is used. The chassis and the clamps will need to be printed with support. If possible use support enforcers in your slicer to provide support only where needed on the chassis and <b><i>not</i></b> in the axlebox slots The brackets should print OK lying on their sides without any support. The holes for the wires between the floor and the top clamps will need to be drilled through the floor before assembly (done this way to give the best wood-grain effect on the top surface of the floor). I recommend epoxying some lead wire or strip in the spine of the chassis to give the wagon a bit more mass. Lead is toxic, so be careful if you do this and ensure that the lead is fully encapsulated in epoxy. I made waterslide transfers for the sign boards using commercially available ink-jet waterslide transfer sheets; I've included the original SVG of the artwork as well as a PNG graphic. This latter file has the suffix '.tmp' appended so I could make it a downloadable file - just rename it to pickles.png after download.
